Kansas City

Belton is located only minutes from the finest social and recreational facilities Kansas City has to offer. This includes the Kansas City Royals Baseball Club, the Kansas City Chiefs Football team, the symphony, the ballet, several live theatres, a variety of river boats, the renowned Plaza and Hallmark’s Crown Center, Bartle Hall, and Kemper Arena. In Belton, you can enjoy the charm of a small town and still have all the amenities of the big city only minutes away.

Memorial Park

East Avenue and Commercial Streets, has a playground area, senior citizens area, four shelter houses, bandstand, four tennis courts, four baseball diamonds, football field, horseshoe pits, restrooms, picnic tables, BBQ grills, Municipal Swimming Pool and Community Building.

Smoot Peace Park

Second and Chestnut Streets. A one quarter acre rest area with trees, shrubs and flowers. Its focal point is a granite Veterans Memorial.

Cimarron Trails Park

On the south and west sides of the subdivision of the same name just off Westover Road. There are several ball fields, a playground area and restroom facilities.

Cimarron Trails Ball Fields

Located just north of Gladden Elementary School at the corner of Westover Road and Kenneth Lane. This complex has two youth baseball fields.

Markey Road Park

Located corner of Markey Road and Seabee Road. A new baseball/softball complex and walking trail.  This is also the site of Belton’s Community Days Festival.

Wallace Park

Located at the corner of 163rd and Mullen Road. The newly build Belton Community Center is located here, along with a playground area, outside basketball courts, soccer fields, shelter house, walking trail (7/8 of a mile), pavilion with restrooms and tennis courts.

Country View Park of West Belton

Located south of 58 Highway at 175th Street. Currently there is a public basketball court, a shelter with picnic table and a playground area.

Historical Main Street

Located West of 58 Highway, off Y Hwy or 163rd Street. This Historical Street hosts many events throughout the year for family fun.  Festivals and Car Show schedule and a merchants listing can be found on their website.

Eagles Landing Golf Course

18 hole golf course located at Bong and Westover Road. There is also a driving range, Club House and Snack Bar. Carts are available. Entrance may be made from 155th Street, Markey Road just off North Scott Avenue, or Westover Road.

Loch Lloyd Country Club

Located at 168th & Holmes Rd., this resort setting offers a PGA 18-hole golf course and country club with tennis courts and a beautiful swimming pool. In addition, the club offers exceptional dining and banquet facilities.

Belton, Grandview & Kansas City Railroad Company

In adjacent Kansas City, recreation facilities include several public maintained parks – Lake Jacomo and Longview Lake for boating, and fishing, golf courses, the Harry S. Truman Sports Complex for Pro Football and Baseball, Starlight Outdoor Theater, the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, two Dinner Theaters, Worlds of Fun Amusement Park, and of course the world famous Country Club Plaza.

The two-hour proximity of the Ozark lakes region is another plus factor for the Belton area.
